Biased, moi?

WARNING! This website is no longer actively maintained. It is an archive of 2 years work by Doug Belshaw who now blogs at dougbelshaw.com... About Me

This post at Doug Johnson’s Blue Skunk Blog struck me as a good idea, so I’ve decided to do my own!

He lists his biases as a series of aphorisms, categorised broadly into groups such as ‘politics and religion’, ‘technology’, etc. As mine will very much be a work in progress as a process of continual self-reflection, I shall create a page for the purpose, which I can edit more easily than a post.

As an historian (and a philosopher!) it’s very important to be able to realise how exactly one (subconsciously) filters information. It’s also good for one’s readers to be aware what prejudices and biases are implicit in the material being presented to them. Click on the link below to have a look! :)
