The Education Guardian links to a Teachers’ TV programme where Roy Hattersley goes in to teach some VI Formers at a school in London. That’s easy. I’d like to see everyone who’s involved in any way in forming education policy in this country go and do a week’s supply undercover. If only. Having done a stint of cover myself in the distant past Iknow their eyes will be fully opened. It’s always easy to talk about how to do something but often much harder to do it in reality. I wander if the same can be said for being education secretary.
