  • Political correctness gone mad

    The TES reports that Simon Smith, who addressed the Professional Association of Teachers today, believes that teachers should stop using the word ‘clever’ when talking about and to children, and instead use the word ’successful’. This is because other students may then see that student as ‘uncool’. Oh, of course, it’s what the teacher says about you that makes you cool or uncool, isn’t it? Some people really don’t get it…
