Well the award for person who most visited this site in August goes to… me! I redesigned the site early in the month which obviously meant a fair few refreshes and visits to the site. Hence the increase in the percentage of visitors using a Mac and Firefox… Other than that though, the quietest time of the year for education-related sites has still seen a fair few people visit my little site. Let’s have a closer look (with pretty graphics and everything!) ![]()
The number of readers using the RSS feed to keep up-to-date with posts continues to rise - up from an average of 84 in July to 101. Yay! We broke the 100 barrier! ![]()

The number of visits to the site during the end-of-year/holidays has stayed about constant. Those extra visits in August can be attributed to my tinkering with the site…

Now that I host my podcasts at the Internet Archive I now longer see spikes in bandwidth on Sundays and other days that I podcast my posts! ![]()
Now for browsers and operating systems:

It’s difficult to gauge any changes in the browser visitors are using to view the site, although there’s been a 20% increase in Firefox usage whilst only a 13.1% increase in Mac usage, so those Firefox figures can’t all be down to me… (also, I know of at least a couple of people who’ve got Macs recently, so they probably make up some of that increase)
And finally, the top 5 referrers this month (last month’s referrals, if available, in brackets):
- Schoolhistory Forum - 88 (109)
- Bleaugh! - 67 (75)
- TES Resource Bank - 45 (33)
- Stephen’s Web - 26
- protopage.com/louisestarkey - 18 (a loyal reader!)
