The BBC, Independent, and TES all report on the findings of an Ofsted inquiry into the effectiveness of the Creative Partnerships scheme, which runs in 2,500 English schools. Well I certainly hope so! The main finding here, of course, is that projects inspire kids. My own experience certainly backs this up - there’s a whole host of things that can be learned in this manner. This type of stuff is usually called ‘cross-curricular’, but at the end of the day it’s just learning in a natural way - teaching ’subjects’ is a human construct; it’s artificial and, at times, detrimental…
