teaching.mrbelshaw.co.uk web stats (September 2006)
1 CommentIt’s was September, everyone was back at school, and the number of people visiting this site went through the roof! I’m a bit concerned with the number of people still using Internet Explorer – understandable of course if that’s all you’ve got on your school network – but I don’t think it displays this site properly; the sidebar seems to go wandering down to the bottom of the page. Anyway, onwards and upwards! :D
There’s almost 150 people reading this blog via the RSS feed on a good day. The average for last month, according to Feedburner, was 116. Bloglines continues to be the feed reader of choice:

There was pretty much a 100% increase in visitors to the site in September compared with August:

It would seem that most school networks have Internet Explorer installed, whereas people have Firefox at home:

You can always use Portable Firefox and copy-and-paste the proxy settings for your school network from Internet Explorer, people!
Windows continues to dominate the share of operating systems used by visitors – again, probably due to people accessing this site through their school’s computers:

The top five referrers this month (last month’s numbers, if available, in brackets):
- Bitacle.org – 173
- StumbleUpon – 124 (88)
- Learningnet.co.uk – 20 Ideas (Mobile Phones) – 87
- TES Resource Bank – 85 (33)
- Learningnet.co.uk – 10 Ways to be a Kick-ass Tutor – 84
Thanks to everyone who visits the site! :p
