  • TagCrowd – a tool with numerous uses

TagCrowd is an interesting web tool. You can copy-and-paste text (or upload a text file) onto the site. It will then produce a ‘tag cloud’ similar to the one on the right (if you’re viewing this on the site rather than the RSS feed). This has at least a couple of very useful applications. The first is for adding tags to your blog posts. Simple copy-and-paste the text of your post, tell it the maximum number of tags you want and it will extract the words most commonly used. The second is for getting an overview of texts available in digital formats. Simply copy-and-paste and see what’s it’s all about!
