Weekly Links (2 December 2006)
3 CommentsYeah yeah yeah, so I didn’t have time this weekend to do my weekly roundup. You’ll have to expect this over the next few weeks, I’m afraid as Chez Belshaw gets ready for the Invasion of the Baby Monster From Outer Space… ;) Anyway, here’s the links which I would have included in my Weekly Roundup:
- Remote Access – Classroom 2.0 Mini-manifesto for Classroom 2.0 and Managing the Pipe – Clarence Fisher talking about the future and how we can take our students there now (I just wish he’d turn on trackbacks…)
- Speed of Creativity – Flow, Curiosity, and Engaging Education – Wes Fryer on ‘flow’ and optimal experience. He includes a great diagram (I like diagrams!)

- Creating Passionate Users – Rhythm Method – Pretty much everything by Kathy Sierra is great, but this post in particular serves as a timely reminder for me that each class and period of the school day has its own rhythm that I need to respect… :D
- Creative Think – Have You Wrestled With a Paradox Today? – I used to see the world in black and white, then I saw shades of grey and colours inbetween, but now I realise that even ‘colours’ aren’t real. Anything which mixes up my world a little is good by me. My favourite from the list of quotes is: ‘Painting is easy when you don’t know how, but very difficult when you do.’ – I think you could easily replace ‘Painting’ with ‘Teaching’… :p

Hey,
Thanks a lot for stopping by the Creative Think blog. I'm glad you enjoyed the paradoxes!
Keep on visiting: next week I'll publish the "meaning of life." (no fooling)
Best wishes,
