I’ve joined a worldwide group of teachers who hope to make a difference. So far there’s around 7 of us, including Chris Craft and Jeff Utecht. We’re going to be known as NextGen Teachers and the aim is to represent the world and what we’re doing from a more digital native-esque perspective. Although I’m currently the youngest member at 26, the oldest is a mere 31. Keep you eyes (and ears!) peeled for more in 2007… ![]()

The Immortals ride again!
<lol>
Will this be a counter/complimentary group to the WoW group?

Well, erm, we won't all be women if that's what you mean…
Hi Doug - I have just posted to my blog with the tag
"nextgenteachers" - I just wondered if it appears on your testing blog
for drawing tag/feeds together?
Tom
I have enjoyed following the line of this new group — and I wish you all the best.
I noticed your comment about not being all women — and wondered if perhaps you were making reference to the womenofweb2.com website??
If you are — I would invite you to take a longer look. The group is not comprised entrely of women — we have quite a few men — and we look forward to seeing how our two web arenas will assist each other.
Happy New Year
Jennifer
Love the premise of this…and envious of all of you who are still in the classroom that can really make this concept take off.
The last architecture firm I worked at started an internship program that was called "nex:gen", and Metropolis Magazine/Herman Miller have a "Next Generation" yearly design competition for young designers. For what it's worth.
In any event, have a ball with this! And I'll definitely be looking forward to hearing more in time.
Cheers/Happy New Year!
Christian
Thanks for your responses, people. Jennifer, the WOW2 website is absolutely great and we're certainly not trying to tread on any toes there. Christian, are you offering to sponsor a competition then?
