$100 laptop close to launch
No CommentsBBC News reports that the first batch of laptops built for the One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) project should reach users as early as July. The Children’s Machine XO, as it will be known, runs a customized distribution of Linux and apparently feels unlike any other operating system. And it looks like users will be encouraged to be bloggers, “users of the XO machine are encouraged to work on an electronic journal, a log of everything the user has done on the laptop.” Hurray! :D
