  • Ofsted can’t win

    In the UK, Ofsted, the inspectors for schools no longer do big scary inspections. Instead, they come in for a couple of days and look at whether a school’s Self-Evaluation Form (SEF) paints a true picture of the school. The SEF is kept up-to-date online in a secure location by the school. Now, however – according to BBC News – some people are questioning Ofsted’s role. This is ludicrous: you have to have some form of inspection, and this ‘light touch’ approach is best for all, methinks… :s

  1. I also read this article this morning with disbelief.
    Shall we do without auditors as well seeing as the majority of companies don't commit fraud and deceive their shareholders?!?
