I came across a scandalously bad piece of blatantly biased journalism today when I opened up the Sunday Times. Entitled Ditch lessons, schools are told, the writer (Geraldine Hackett – an apt name…) polemicised against the proposed changing to a more thematic approach of the UK curriculum. I was so shocked at the poor standard of writing and lack of informed argument that I may never buy the newspaper again. I commented, but I doubt it will show up. It seems to only show those by non-educationalists and those with an axe to grind against the system in general… :o
