Stating the obvious: schools ‘drill pupils for tests’

BBC News reports on a statement by QCA chief executive Ken Boston about the efficacy of school testing. What a great soundbite this is: Fundamentally, we must focus on sustained growth in educational performance through effective teaching of sound curriculum. Tests are the means to measure and report that growth. They are not fundamentally the means to achieve it. In other news: fish like water; bachelors revealed as ‘unmarried men’. ;)
