   Doug- couldn’t agree more with some of your comments on here and also your mp3 on the way home – I hope the traffic wasn’t too bad.

   I thought the day went better than could have been hoped for and echo your comments about Russel Prue. A great speaker – I just hope our leadership teams at the four school heed some of his advice.

   Your session was excellent, and has certainly given some of us at Queensbridge some food for thought and inspirational ideas too!

   Just a little one for you – I found the ‘Scary Mary’ video on You Tube – and it seems many different people are ‘claiming’ the creativity rights to it! Perhaps not from the 14 year old girl as Mr Prue suggested!

   Doug,

   Firstly I’m hacked off at myself for not knowing that you were just “over by” on Friday. We’re actually part of the Leading Edge but I don’t recall any info on this coming via the Senior Team. Nevermind cover was so horrendously tight on Friday that even if I had known and made arrangements to attend then I would have undoubtedly been unable to go in any case. I just tried listening to your podcast (carcast?)but the embedded player makes you sound like one of the chipmunks, downloads and plays fine though. I found some of your points really interesting and am very excited about the blue plugin for WMM. Regarding screencasts, you may have already heard of Cam Studio (http://camstudio.org/). An open source program which does a pretty good job; you can record the whole screen or a selected region and it also allows you to ‘auto pan’ with the mouse pointer.

   Keep up the good work fella.

   Pete, you’re right to say all was not as it seemed with Mr Prue’s presentation. It turns out that massive version of Tetris, far from ‘breaking 56 Federal laws’ was called La Bastille and was installed with permission.

   Much as I enjoyed his presentation, I prefer listening to teachers who ‘keep it real’. :D
